A demo listing seeded for the 7e index build — realistic enough to exercise search, filters and the card layout.
Across one long weekend, Quarry Field becomes an open-air studio: six sculptors work Portland stone in public, talking through each cut as the forms emerge. Visitors can walk the working floor, handle offcuts and follow a piece from rough block to finished surface.
Short demonstrations run on the hour, with a slower guided walk each afternoon. No booking is needed for general entry; the stone-carving taster sessions are ticketed and suitable for complete beginners.

Full wheelchair access across the quarry floor via a temporary boardwalk. BSL-interpreted demonstrations run on Saturday afternoons.
Large print guides and ear defenders are available at the welcome tent — ask any steward. The nearest Changing Places toilet is a five-minute walk at the visitor centre.
