Daniel Hooks

Daniel is a fabricator and metalworker supporting artists with large-scale public commissions across the South West. Trained as a blacksmith and later in architectural steel, he moves comfortably between one-off gallery pieces and street-grade installations that have to survive weather, councils and climbing children.

Recent work includes armatures for two seafront sculptures in Plymouth, a folded-steel entrance canopy for a Bristol studio complex, and ongoing repair work for coastal public art. He shares a fully equipped workshop near Temple Meads and takes fabrication briefs at any stage — from napkin sketch to fully engineered drawings.
